Okay, let’s get it out of the way right away. We do not sell, rent, loan, barter, gamble with, make fun of or otherwise misuse any personal information you provide us.
Information We Collect
Web usage data such as IP address, browser type, language settings and URLs of referring and exit pages.
We may also track what pages of our website you visit, and for how long you visit them.
We collect emails and names that you provide us with in order to use this service. The emails provided to us will remain in our email service provider’s servers for up to six months before getting purged out of the system. You may also contact us (see below) if you would like us to make any changes to your information prior to that time period.
We may collect the Wintergrams that are created using this service in order to provide a historical snapshot of what Wintergrams have been sent. We do not collect any personalization note(s) you may have added to the Wintergram.
If you opt into using the Twitter or Facebook functions on this website, you may be opting into allowing cookies from their services (again, out of our control).
If you would rather not allow cookies, you can disable the functionality in your web browser, though please be advised that the website may not function as expected and we will be very sad.
Collected Information Use
We may share limited information with our business affiliates in order to provide this service, but they are operate under strict privacy policies not to share your information without permission unless required by law. For example, we may share your email address and the email addresses you provide us with our email service provider to send out the emails associated with this service (they can’t send out the emails unless they know who to send it to), but again, they are not authorized to share these emails with anyone.
We use anonymous web usage data to continuously improve our site’s usability and to gather and understand usage patterns. This information is always aggregated and does not include personally identifiable information.
We may disclose information we collect (to the extent permitted by law) when required by law, court order or law enforcement or when we believe that it is necessary or advisable to protect our rights, property or safety—or the rights, property or safety of others.
